Chinese Export Album with a complete set of 12 coloured gouaches (image size 290 x 180 Mm) of birds on pith paper, in original silk binding, China ca. 1850, oblong. Each painting depicting a pair of birds with different flowers or flowering branches on the background. The pith paper gouaches are mounted with light-blue silk ribbons onto the original paper sheets of the album. The pith paper images are in very good condition. The board of the album is covered with red silk.
